Possibly the best game announced by Bethesda, and it’s not even out yet! Fallout 4. Ever since Bethada had their own press conference back at E3 it’s been the most widely talked about and most anticipated game this year. Here’s some things to expect on November 10th, just in case you’ve been living under a rock these past months.
Fallout 4 is going to take place in a post-apocalyptic Boston and feature a wide variety of new features to the series. Everything from a new combat system in V.A.T.S. (Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System) to crafting and customizing your own weapons and armor, to building your own house all of which you have a choice of doing or not.
As in every fallout game there are factions you can choose to help, join or destroy. The Brotherhood of Steel are going to be a major presence in Boston along with The Commonwealth Minute Men. There are some factions you might want to stay away from like the raiders and the Super Mutants; back from Fallout 3 and looking tougher than ever.
They’ve also added settlements where you can build defenses to defend your village from raider attacks. Upgrade turrets, recruit NPCs to defend your settlement and have Brahmin caravans between multiple settlements for trade. All of which you can choose to do or not.
Bethesda also added a new dialog system. With this, interaction with other NPCs is more fluid and conversational. If you’re a pacifist, you can play the entire game without killing anything and talking your way through a conversation that would otherwise end in bullets flying through the air.
Unlike most other games Fallout is an open world, and you get to make choices in the world at your own discretion. Whether it’s good or evil. How ever you plan on playing Fallout and those decisions you make, makes Fallout a one of a kind enjoyable experience that tells the story on how you make it.
If you’re wondering what S.P.E.C.I.A.L. is about in Fallout; It’s your character’s stats in the game. There are several combinations to fit any play style that you put points into at the start of the game. Here are what each S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat does for you in Fallout.
-Strength- Determines how much equipment you can carry while walking through the wastes. As well as having the strength requirements for certain weapons and how much melee damage you can deal.
-Perception-Knowing what’s around you in your environment. Having a high perception lets you see enemies before they see you. It will also have an effect on your accuracy in V.A.T.S.
-Endurance-Overall physical fitness of your character. Endurance has an effect on your health and action points and determines how long you can sprint for.
-Carisma- Having high Charisma, you can charm and convince other NPCs. You’ll be able to have a chance to persuade others in dialogue and for bartering prices.
-Intelligence- Affects several things including medicine, repair skills and science skills. Having low intelligence allows unique dialogue opinions in game towards other NPCs. It will also determine how many skill points you can get after leveling up.
-Agility- Overall reflexes and fitness of your character. Agility also determines the number of action points in V.A.T.S. and how well your ability is to sneak.
-Luck-Having high luck will give you better chance on critical hits and how often it recharges. When you’re scavenging you have a better chance of finding more caps and/or better loot.
Enjoy creating a character in Fallout 4. Hope this gives you a little more insight on S.P.E.C.I.A.L. statistics. Have fun exploring the wastes.
Some people might question why video games exist, and might even say they’re a big waste of time. However that’s far from true.
Video games come in all sorts of shape and sizes. Games entertain us just as many movies entertain others. They tell a deep story that makes us feel something for the characters that we play. Solve problems that challenge a player. Connect with friends and other people from around the world on a common love for a particular game.
Everyone has a reason why they play whether it’s for making the time go by, to getting submerged into a story. Gamers spend countless hours on several games, to accomplish what? It could be a number of things.
Self-worth? Attaining a simple or complex goal? Good triumphing over evil? It varies from gamer to gamer weather they play for an hour a week or ten hours a day. The passion is still there for the game because it’s visually stimulating and the story leaves you wanting more.
If you’re doubting yourself, just pick up a game and get yourself immersed and lost into a world that is not your own. Pick any from defeating an alien army on a different planet to building and constructing your own city making your own laws and budget. Video games can have an impact on you that sticks with you throughout your life and has made an impact on the society as we know it today.

As a student at Colorado media school, I’ve had some amazing experiences here. Everything from shooting video for a film project to editing audio clips from my gaming show Game On on Go Mile High.com. Every day that I’m here I always have fun and learn something new every day.
Colorado Media School has taught me every aspect of broadcasting. Everything from radio production, video editing and even building my own website. I’ve been using programs such as Final cut pro 6, adobe audition, adobe Photoshop and tricaster.
I have gotten a lot of hands on experience at the school alone; operating the audio board for student run radio shows on Go Mile High.com and filming news packages for the school’s News Cast production.
When I first started at Colorado media school I didn’t really have an interest in being on the radio. But now I sit here Hosting, producing, and directing my own radio talk show (Game On) on go Mile High.com. And I have to tell you I love every minute of hosting my show and it’s really fun.
If you were to ask me one year ago “do you think you would ever go to college?”. I would say “no, not a chance.” And here I am about half way through the course learning a lot of valuable skills and trades. I believe it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. If I had to recommend Colorado media school to any one, I would highly recommend it to anyone I know.
